Youth & Children

We believe that our children and youth are the church of the future, but also part of the church of today. With this in mind, we provide a series of groups both to teach them and provide social and fun activities. We also have a desire to serve the
community in this area and so we have various groups set up in order to reach out to the community.


Toddler Group
We have a number of different sessions which meet on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am - 11:00 am and also on Monday afternoons from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm. This gives Mums, Dads and Carers the opportunity to meet together while their children play in a safe environment.

Messy Church
This is a monthly family event with craft, a bible story and refreshments. The next dates are:

25th Feb – Bible Landscapes: Roads
17th March – Bible Landscapes: Seasides
7th April – Messy Easter: A New Life in Jesus
26th May – Messy Pentecost: A New Life in the Spirit
23rd June – Love Your Neighbour (the Good Samaritan)
28th July – Love Your World

Holiday Bible Club
We ran a Holiday Bible Club again this year (Monday 22nd - Friday 26th August 2011), for primary school age children aged 5 - 11 (reception to year 6) from 9.30am to 12.00pm. The theme was 'Mission:Rescue' - looking at the story of the Exodus to see how God has a rescue plan for all his people. Click here to see pictures.


KidZone
This is an exciting junior youth club ( school years 1 to 6). It's on every Friday night during term time from 6.00pm until 7.30pm. The cost is £1 per child, which includes 30p of tuck from our tuck shop! Activities include Playstation, mad games, craft, graffiti wall and much more. We will also be having occasional "theme" nights such as film evenings or scrapheap challenge throughout the term. Lighthouse
Our senior youth club (school years 7 - 13) meets on Fridays 7.00pm - 9.00pm. As well as various games and activities (pool, table-tennis etc) time is spent thinking about life from a christian viewpoint, often with a guest speaker. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the evening.


Connect (Youth Fellowship)
Our young people meet together on Sunday evenings at 7:30pm. They follow a pattern of Bible study, discussion, quizzes and games. On the first Sunday of the month, they join with other young people in the town at 'Powerstation' (run by Taunton Youth for Christ).
